Guru Chandal is the dosha of compromised wisdom. Jupiter (Guru) is the planet of higher knowledge, ethical judgment, and right teaching; Rahu is the karmic remainder, the unfinished hunger that cuts corners and seeks shortcuts. When the two meet, the chart inherits a tendency toward wisdom that is real but unprincipled — the gifted teacher who lacks integrity, the spiritual leader who can't quite hold their own teaching, the eloquent advisor whose advice is shaped by personal ambition.
The classical reading is more nuanced than 'this person is dishonest.' The pattern is that the integration between wisdom and ambition has not yet been achieved. Jupiter still operates — the person can be genuinely insightful, genuinely well-read, genuinely capable of guiding others. But Rahu's hunger keeps inserting itself, and the wisdom gets bent toward whatever Rahu wants.
