Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when it visits a website. Cookies remember things like whether you’re signed in, what was in your cart, or what your reading preferences are. They are not viruses, they cannot read other files on your computer, and they are size-limited by every modern browser.

Authentication cookies (Supabase).When you sign in, Supabase — our authentication provider — sets session cookies on the insightsbyomkar.comdomain so the site knows you’re logged in across pages. These are HttpOnly, secure, and required for any signed-in functionality. Expiration is governed by your session length.

ghost_email. Set when you buy credits without creating an account. Links the purchase to your email address so your credits travel with you and can be claimed when you do create an account. Functional/necessary, expires after one year.

lgr. Tracks the number of complimentary reading credits used during your browsing session. HttpOnly, functional, expiration based on site settings.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking tag. We do not build profiles to target you with ads. We do not share cookie data with marketing platforms. We do not sell or rent any data that cookies allow us to collect.

When you make a purchase, the checkout flow is hosted by Stripe and Stripe sets its own cookies on the Stripe-hosted page (not on our domain) to power its fraud-prevention systems. Stripe publishes its own cookie disclosures. Their cookies are scoped to the checkout flow only.

Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies on a per-site basis. If you block our authentication cookies you won’t be able to sign in. If you block ghost_email your purchases as a guest will not link to your email. The site will continue to work for browsing reference content regardless of your cookie settings.

If we add a new cookie or change how an existing one is used, we’ll update this page and the “Last reviewed” date above. Material changes will also be flagged in the account-area changelog where applicable.
