Forecast · Eclipses

Upcoming eclipses.

All solar and lunar eclipses across the next five years. Eclipse seasons come about every six months; each one tends to mark a karmic-axis threshold in classical astrology.

Eclipses are not omens. They are geometric alignments — Sun, Moon, and lunar nodes coming into a single line — and the classical reading is that the energy of the moment activates the point of the chart the eclipse degree touches. If an eclipse falls within a few degrees of one of your natal planets, the tradition reads that period as a structural threshold for the domain that planet rules.

Common questions

About eclipses

Why do eclipses matter astrologically?

Eclipses occur when the Sun, Moon, and the lunar nodes (Rahu and Ketu) align. Classical astrology reads them as karmic-axis activation moments — the events around an eclipse tend to mark thresholds rather than ordinary chapters. The sign and degree the eclipse falls in tell you where the activation lands; the closer the eclipse to a personal natal point, the more pronounced the effect.

What's the difference between solar and lunar eclipses?

Solar eclipses occur at the New Moon when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth — the Moon's shadow blocks the Sun from view. Lunar eclipses occur at the Full Moon when Earth's shadow falls on the Moon. Solar eclipses tend to mark the start of a new arc; lunar eclipses tend to bring something to culmination or release. Both come in pairs (one solar + one lunar in the same eclipse season) about every six months.

How accurate are these times?

Eclipse peak times come from a high-precision ephemeris (VSOP87 + ELP2000 with deltaT correction). The peak times listed are accurate to within a few seconds of the published NASA values. Magnitudes describe how complete the eclipse is — 1.0 is total, anything below 1.0 is partial.
